British and German naval policies according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant morning edition dated 17 June 1910

London, 16 June. The British newspaper Westminster Gazette commented in a leading article the articles earlier published in another newspaper the Morning Post dealing with the German naval threat in the North Sea. The paper denied that the British naval policy was not scientific and inefficient and nothing more as a hobby. Even if German had a complete plan that would not suggest that England had not such a plan. The Westminster Gazette didn’t agree with the Morning Post that the German naval organisation was superior because she was lead by just one man, something which was impossible in England. The first newspaper thought even that such a naval dictator (1) was completely out of the question in England.

Note
1. Presumably the German grand admiral Alfred Peter Friedrich von Tirpitz (Küstrin 19 March 1849-Ebenhausen 6 March 1930).
