Dutch whaler De Jager for sale at Westzaandam according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsche Courant dated 21 December 1797
An
announcement reported that the brokers M. der Kinderen, S. Jongewaard junior, M.
te Veltrup, J. van Santen and A. Rep intended to sell on Saturday 23 December
in the tavern Den Otter at Westzaandam a well sailing fluyship De Jager with as
dimensions 111 (prow) x 28 x 11½’, height verdeck 6½’and steering
platform 9’ with the
rigging and all the whale catchers tools property of the commandeur Jurriaan
Roelofs.
