Made by Gerrit Groenewegen (Rotterdam, 16 oktober 1754 – 7 augustus 1826) Sold on an auction 9 October 1769 in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the whaler Hendrik. This extra ordinary seaworthy sailing fluyt ship had as master Harme Ooms and was newly fitted out in 1739. Her dimensions were 116 x 29 x 12’5”, the verdeck 6’8” and the S. 9’3” Amsterdam foot. Costs ƒ 4.800, with and adjudication of ƒ 16. L. Oliver on behalf of his master. Harme[n] Ooms was a commandeur in the Greenland whale-fishery, He sailed in 1769 in service of Pieter Engelen en Compagnie at Amsterdam with as results 8 whales, 96 barrels whale-blubber and 142 quardelen train-oil.
