Dutch whaler Zeepost sold at Amsterdam on Monday 28 September 1772

This fluytship was sold on Monday 28 September 1772 in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam. Newly fitted out in 1756. Dimensions in Amsterdam foot 113 x 29’10”x 13’1”, height verdeck 7, S 9’2”. Last commandeur was Cornelis Vriesman.(1) Prize ƒ 9,000, subcharge ƒ 1,200, T. Beth Ysbrandsz for his master.

1. Van Sante mentioned Cornelis Vriesman commandeur on a Davis Strait whaler for directors Simon and Cornelis Hottentot of Oostzaan in 1772 with as results 7 whales, 324 barrels of whale blubber and 423 quardelen train oil.
