Japanese shipyards suffered from problems with labourers according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 14 June 1921

An item dated Tokyo 9 June reported that as a result with the common malaise in the Japanese shipbuilding industry problems raised with the labourers. For instance was a large strike going on at the Foejinagata yard, which strike probably had the sympathy of the personnel of other yards.
