New building of airships for the US navy according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant morning edition dated 30 January 1926

Washington, 29 January. The chief of the navy air force discussed with the navy commission of the House of Representatives the navy budget of 14,000,000 dollar to expend in the next 5 years. The building of 3 controlled airships and the founding of a airship station at the Pacific Coast were projected in this budget. Two of the three projected warships were to be of 6,000 cubic feet each costing 4,000,000 dollar while the third one costing 1,500,000 dollar was to be used for commercial purposes. The chief also need an annual 1,650,000 dollar to maintain the existing facilities.
