The Belgian navy revived according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 18 October 1929?

This newspaper published a small item dealing with the Belgian navy since the First World War. After the end of the war inherited Belgium from France a partly dismantled cruiser, further more were some German torpedo boats handed over as spoils of war, Brugge made a naval base and Belgian sailors almost likely dressed like the sailors aboard appeared. But the journalist wrote that is was just a waste of money. The cruiser was given back and everything ended. Hardly a few years after the liquidation of the Belgian navy proposed a certain Devesne that Belgium needed a own navy casing a lot of commotion with some newspapers making clear that this was all nonsense.
