The Greek navy in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 12 May 1828

The Beobachter dated 2 May published two orders of the Greek supreme command, both dated 18 March. A fleet consisting of 8 war brigs and goelettes and several gunboats were ordered to blockade the ports of Candia, the fortress Koron, Modon and Navarino and the gulf of Patras and Lepanto. According to tidings from Zante dated 31 March this fleet all ready partly arrived in this waters. She was commanded by G. Sachturis. He was also ordered to supply commander Church at Dragmestra enough vessels of his fleet to blockade the port of Prevesa, to cut off all supply sea lines towards Missolunghi.
