The
Russian navy consisted of 19 ironclads, 16 frigates, corvettes and clippers and
further gunboats, barques and transports, totally 167 ships and vessels with
1.544 officers and 15.000 sailors. In the Black Sea were 20 ships with 1794 men
available, in the Caspian Sea 20 small vessels with 984 men and in the ‘Siberian Sea’ (?), rivers
and so on 25 ships with 1199 men.
