The Austrian, Greek and Turkish navies in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 13 November 1824

Frankfurt, 6 November. Te Greek warships which suffered in the latest battles entered different ports for repairs. In the meantime were the Greeks fitting out new fire ships to replace the used ones. Two Greek ships cruising off Scio landed there and managed to capture 2 galleys manned with 60 Turkish which were sent by the pasha to drive the Greeks away. According to rumours appeared an Austrian division off Napoli-di-Romania demanding a vessel to be given back which were captured by the Greeks while sailing from Alexandria towards Constantinople despite the fact that she had hoisted an Austrian flag. mer
