London, 28 March. At Jersey arrived a ship sailing in 50 days from Rio Janeiro bringing with her tidings dated until 31 January. The Brazilian squadron consisting of 2 large frigates, 2 corvettes and 3 brigs of war with on board 600 volunteers out of several countries departed 20 January towards Bahia. The embargo for Rio didn't exist anymore since 20 January. In this squadron were not the ships included sent to Montevideo and who returned without realising their orders.
