The Egyptian, Greek and Turkish navies in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 3 November 1824

Florence, Italy 19 October. According to a news item dated Trieste 8 October won the Greek navy all the battles between 5 and 10 September just having serious losses 10 September when both fleets collided on a small distance. These tidings were confirmed by Turkish reports dated Chisme 26 September. The two Ottoman fleets sailed towards Patino probably for an attack at Samos. The Greek squadron was preparing to defence that island.
