The Algerian, Egyptian and Turkish navies in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 12 September 1823

Frankfurt, 7 September. The newspaper le Spectateur Oriental published a news item dated Smyrna 1 August according to which tidings from Patras were received dated until 12 July. The town was well supplied with stores. The Captain Pasha used his squadron to transport large numbers of troops from Prevesa to Patras. Fourteen days ago are the Egyptian and Algerian flotillas sighted near the islands Sapience. The first flotilla seemed to land the troops on board all ready at Candia.
