The Algerian, Egyptian, Greek and Turkish navies in the Archipelago according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 29 May 1823

Augsburg, 22 May. The newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung published a news item dated Constantinople according to which the Captain Pasha still didn't depart just still fitting out his fleet and saying that the departure was very soon to come. According to yet not confirmed rumours suffered the Egyptian and Algerian fleets which all ready departed towards the Archipelago severely from Greek attacks. Another news item dated Odessa 6 May mentioned that according to tidings from Constantinople dated until 1 May the Greek fleet of 80 armed vessels and 50 fire ships was waiting in the Archipelago for the Captain Pasha.
