Dutch tug (ex-Harmonie 6 1929-1951) Volharding 1 1951-

Netherlands-flagged, EU no. 2101615. In 1929 built at the shipyard De Hoop, Neder-Hardinxveld, Netherlands as the Harmonie 6 (VI) for account of rederij Van Loon, Vreeswijk, Netherlands. Fitted out with an 176 hp steam engine and boiler manufactured by Kreber, Vlaardingen, Netherlands. Used on the Amsterdam-Rijn kanaal and towards Duisburg, Germany, In 1950 bought by the Verenigde Onafhankelijke Sleepdiensten (VOS), Rotterdam, Netherlands. On her black painted funnel is still a white painted ‘V’ visible referring to the latter owner. Still serving until the late sixties as a harbour tug in Rotterdam. Became in 1968 property of the Maritiem Museum Prins Hendrik, Rotterdam and since 1978 of the Vereniging Volharding 1, Rotterdam. With a tonnage of 20 tons and as dimensions 20,00 x 4,70 x 1,81 metres.
