Entering the locks at Vlissingen, Netherlands to be rigged at the shipyard of Amels 14 January 2014
A square rigged 3-mast steel-built clipper with as main
dimensions 87 x 11 metres
and a sail area of 2.700
square metres. Built to replace the RNOV Shabab Oman.
March 2013 laid down at the Damen shipyard Galati, Romania and to be delivered
medio August 2014. Height of the masts is 50 metres and which are
made of steel and aluminium. Her crew will be numbering 58 persons to which
another 34 recruits can be added.
