Crewmembers of British bark Marathon saved according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Courant van Den Helder dated 21 September 1861

An item reported that captain Ferrest picked up at sea 6 persons belonging to the crew of the British bark Marathon. The other crewmembers including two women were saved by another ship. The Marathon stranded two days later at Noordwijk, Netherlands. Elsewhere called a frigate ship.
