Dutch bark Pollux lost according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche Courant dated Wednesday 21 March 1866

An item dated Den Helder the 20th referred to tidings from Batavia, Dutch East Indies dated 28th February reporting that the Dutch bark ship Pollux captain Blok which arrived on 25 December 1865 arrived at Surabaya, Dutch East Indies and departed again was stranded and smashed to pieces. Her crew was safe but the cargo lost.
