Dutch corvette Zr. Ms. Castor returning to Den Helder, Nieuwediep while leaking according to the Dutch newspaper Weekblad van Den Helder en het Nieuwediep dated 28 August 1843
An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 26th reported that on the 23rd the brig Zr.Ms. Castor captain lieutenant Söhngen returned while she was leaking.(1) She was part of the recently departed training squadron. The edition dated 18 March 1844 reported that’s he was to be decommissioned at the end of the month.
