Russian destroyer Gromky 1937-1960

Of the Gnevny-class destroyers also know as Project 7 and the Gremyashchiy class. For the design were Italian plans used. Of the 36 planned units were 30 completed. The general characteristics of this class were a displacement of 1.612 tonnes/1.587 long tons/1.777 short tons (standard)-2.039 tonnes/2.007 long tons/2.248 short tons (full load) with the dimensions 112,8 x 10,2 x 4,8 metres or 370’1’x 33’6”x 15’9’. The steam turbines and 3 water tube boilers supplied during the trials in50.500 shp allowed a maximum speed of 29,37 knots. With a reduced speed to 19,83 knots was became a range of 2.640 nautical miles available. Her crew numbered 196 (peacetime)-236 (wartime). The armament consisted of 4x1-5.1”/13cm guns, 2x1-3.0”/7,62cm anti aircraft guns, 2z1-0.50”/12,7mm machineguns, 3x3-21’0”?53,3cm torpedo tubes, able to carry 60-95 mines with them and finally 25 depth charges. The Gromky was built for the Baltic Fleet at the Baltic yard at Leningrad, Soviet Union. Launched on 6 December 1937 was she completed on 23 February 1939, since 1941 added to the Soviet Northern Fleet was she finally broken up in 1960.
