Of the Duke-class. Her building was ordered in September 1986, laid down on 18 December 1987 by Yarrow Shipbuilders, launched on 24 May 1990 by queen Elizabeth II causing her nicknamed The Queen’s Frigate and commissioned on 1 May 1992 with as homeport HMNB Portsmouth. With a standard displacement of 4.990 tonnes are her dimensions 133 x 16,1 x 7,3 metres or 436’4” x 52’10”x 23’9”. The horsepower of 23.190 kW delivered via two shafts allowed a speed of 28 knots.. With a reduced speed of 15 knots is her nautical range 14.485 nautical miles. Her crew numbers 185 men. The armament consisted of 1-4.5” gun, 2-3cm guns,2 mini guns, 2 machine guns, 2xquad Harpoon launchers for anti ship defence, 2x2-32,4cm torpedo tubes for anti submarine defence and 1x32 cell Sea Wolf GWS 26 VKS missiles for anti air defence.
