Dutch frigate 2nd class Zr.Ms. Zaan 1825-1850

Laid down at the navy yard of Amsterdam by P. Schuijt jr. 1825, launched Saturday 23 July 1831, served also in the Dutch East Indies, already in worse condition in 1842, sold -while lying in the dock on the navy yard at Willemsoord, Netherlands- in the tavern Nieuwe Heeren-Logement of the widow H,G, Ihnen, Nieuwdiep, Netherlands on for ƒ 16.600,00 to M. Rezel of Nieuwediep, to be broken up on Tuesday 10.00 o‘clock 19 November 1850, dimensions 46,21 (loadline) x 11,91 (inner hull) x 5,17 (fore)-5,74 (aft) x 6,41 (depth below main deck) metres, displacement 1.422-1.460 tons and an armament of 44 guns (30 short 30 pd guns, 20-30pd guns and 2-8pd guns).
