Dutch transport Zr.Ms. Merwede arrived at Curacao coming from Surinam according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 12 July 1845

An item reported the arrival at Willemstad, Curacao of the Dutch transport Zr.Ms. Merwede lieutenant 1st class J.L. van Hasselt with on board the new authority of Curacao major R.H. Esser with his spouse and two children coming from Surinam. (1)
