Colombian corvette Bolivar with captured Spanish corvette Ceres sighted according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 12 June 1824

An item dated 26 April reported the arrival of the brig Ferox captain Stone at Boston, USA. On the 7th she sighted on the position 24°24’ North latitude and 81° longitude the Colombian 20-gun corvette Bolivar with her prize the 20-gun Spanish corvette Ceres underway to Pensacola for repairs.
