On stocks at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 3 March 1875, launched on 6 December 1876, commissioned 1 November 1877, converted into an accommodation ship at the shipyard  De Lastdrager, Den Helder in 1906, commissioned at Willemsoord, Netherlands on 8 November, armament changed to be used as salute battery in 1910, also used as training ship for sailors, de commissioned as training ship 21 May 1921, just accommodation ship for the air service at Willemsoord, what was left of her armament removed and stricken in 1922.

Iron-built and wood planked. Frigate-rigged. With a displacement of 3.160 tons were her dimensions 80,00-91,85 (over all) x 12,50 x 6,10 metres. Sail area 1.585 square metres. When under sail could her telescopic funnel be lowered and the double bladed screw lifted. Horsepower 2.750 hp allowing a speed of 14,26 miles. Her crew numbered 200 men. The original armament consisted of 6-17cm guns and 4-12cm guns. In 1884 were another 4-12cm guns and 4-3.7cm guns added. In 1910 were the 12cm guns replaced by 4-7,5cm guns.
