An item reported that the Dutch crown recently decided that the two guardships Zr.Ms. Amstel (1) at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands and Zr.Ms. Kenau Hasselaar (2) at Willemsoord, Netherlands were to be replaced by 2 of the 3 frigates no longer usuable for major sea voyages, namely the Zr.Ms. Schelde (3), Zaan (4) and Sambre (5). Further more were the accommodation ships Zr.Ms. Atalante (6) at Amsterdam, Netherlands and Zr.Ms. Kemphaan (7) at Rotterdam, Netherlands to be replaced by the corvette Zr.Ms. Hippomenes (8) and the brig Zr.Ms. Pegasus (9). Finally were the ship of the line Zr.Ms. Waterloo (10), frigates Zr.Ms. Amstel, Kenau Hasselaar and Maria Reygersbergen (11), corvettes Zr.Ms. Dolfijn (12) and Atalante, brig Zr.Ms. Kemphaan, 11 gaff gunboats and 12 row gunboats to be stricken, to be broken up for government account and sold in public excluded te non used materials.
