Inhabitants of inlands Föhr and Dageböll captured whales according to the Dutch newspaper ‘s-Hertogenbossche courant dated 25 August 1780

An item dated Copenhagen, Denmark 11th reported that mid July two small whales were discovered near the islands Föhr and Dageböll and which caught by 13 natives with their boats. The catch of 8 quardelen blubber had a value of 300 rijksdaalders.
