Dutch whalers leaving the Netherlands towards Greenland according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche courant dated 30 April 1784

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 27^th reported the departure towards Greenland of the Dutch whalers Vrouw Elisabeth, Frankendael, ‘t Land van Beloften, Agatha, Geele Klok,Vrouw Maria, Groenlandia, Vreede, Patriot, Vergulde Walvis and Bailluagie van Blois with as commandeurs respectitively Jacob Gaauw, Marten Mooy, Pieter Jentjes, Cornelis Vriesman, Aarjen Smit, Gerrit Smit. Dirk Cornelis Duyn, Cornelis Duyn, Engelbert Lucas, Gerrit Roelofs Meyer and Ryk Volkerts. A second item dated Amsterdam 28^th reported the departure towards Greenland of the Dutch whalers Zaandam, Vrouw Hendrina, Wel te Vreede, Juffer Catharina, Koornbeurs, T-stroom and Vriendschap with as commandeurs respectively Jan Symon Walig, Jacob G. Adriaans, Jan Springer, Jan Dekker, Jacob Baske, Willem J. Borst and Jan Blankman.
