An item dated Liverpool, England 20th reported that on the 19th the tug Sarah Joliffe (1) left Milford Haven, England towards the Azores to assist the tug William Joliffe (2) to pick up the steamship Pavonia and bring her to Milford Haven.

2. Launched at the shipyard of John Readhead&Co., South Shield, England with yard number 219 in September 1885, completed the same year, property of Thomas A. Joliffe (W.&T. Joliffe), Liverpool, England, sold to several times, including in 1913 to the Canadian Pacific Railways and when she renamed Nitinat and to the Pacific Salvage Co.Ltd., Victoria ad renamed Salvage Chief. In service of the last company wrecked on Merry Island, Wellcome Passage, British Colombia, Canada 7 February 1925. Registration number 91255. Iron-built. Gross register tonnage 332 tons, net register tonnage 48 tons and as dimensions 148.4 x 26.2 x 13.9 feet.
