An item dated Vlaardingen, Netherlands 2nd reported that on the evening before the Dutch tug trawler IJM 374 of the firm Goedhart of IJmuiden, Netherlands hit a wrecked off the lightship Haaks and sunk immediately. Her crew managed to escape with a lifeboat leaving al their belongings behind. After 11 hours drifting were they picked up by a lugger and brought to the lightship. There they were picked up on the morning of the 2nd by a Danish steamship supplied with clothes and food and brought back to Ijmuiden.
