Germany denied submarine attacking British hospital ship Rewa according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 15 January 1918

An item dated Berlin, Germany 14th referred to an official announcement of the German government claiming that the British hospital ship Rewa was not torpedoed by a German submarine despite the British opinion. According to the announcement it was more likely that she hit a mine in the recently by the Germans laid mine blockade in the Bristol Channel.
