An item dated 2nd reported the passing of Nieuw Anjer [nowadays Anyer, Indonesia] by the Dutch bark Melati underway from Simonstown, South Africa towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies. On the 3rd was reported that she was ordered to go towards Surabaya, Dutch East Indies.(1)
