British privateer captured Spanish ship la Mexicana according to the Dutch newspaper Oprechte Haarlemse courant dated 28 February 1805

An item reported that a British privateer of Jersey took the captured Spanish ship la Mexicana to Jersey. The Spanish ship with on board 87.000 piasters. 170 barrels sugar, a small quantity of indigo and so on was underway from Vera Cruz, Mexico towards St. Andero, Spain.
