Russian 3-mast schooner Capella sunk in the Wielingen after collision with Belgian tug John Bull according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 22 July 1910
An item reported that in the night between 01.00-02.00 o’clock the Russian 3-mast schooner Capella captain Krug collided in the Wielingen with the Belgian tug John Bull of Antwerp, Belgium. Her crew of 10 men and the Dutch pilot P. van Zale left the sinking ship and they were to the John Bull brought to Vlissingen, Netherlands. The drifting schooner became a danger for the merchant shipping and in the morning departed the transport Coertzen and a tug from Vlissingen to salvage her. According to later tidings was she stranded on the Staker and totally wrecked. She came from Demerara with a cargo of greenheart beams for account of the Dutch firm N.V. Houthandel voorheen firma G. Alberts Lz&Co., Middelburg, Netherlands.
