Ship Indiana loaded with guano wrecked off Cape Barren Island , Tasmania according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 22 August 1894

An item dated Melbourne, Australia 13th July reported that the ship Indiana loaded with guano underway from Surprise Island towards Launceston [Tasmania?] on 29 June off Cape Barren Island [off north east coast of Tasmania] hit an unknown reef. After an hour was she refloated with high tide anchoring on a short distance was the hull filled with water causing her to be beached on 3rd July. It was believed that the fully with water filled ship harassed by the waves could not be saved.
