American destroyer USS Conyngham (1914-1934) on 1 September 1915

Building approved in 1913. First material immediately ordered Keel laid after 8,5 months. On 1 September after 1 year and 11 months 84% completed, will be at least 6 months over time. Contracted building time 2 years.(1)

1. Tucker-class. Ordered in 1913. Laid down at the shipyard of William Cramp and |Sons, Philadelphia, USA with yard number 419 on 27 July 1914, launched on 8 July 1915 and commissioned on 21 January 1916. Hull number DD-58.
