Dutch 1st charter Beschermer 1690-1721
Of the admiralty Noorderkwartier, also called a 2nd charter, built at Enkhuizen (one source claimes Hoorn), Netherlands in 1690, sold due to age in 1721, dimensions 146¼(keel)-170 x 43 x 16 feet, height 1st deck 8, 2nd deck 7, 3rd deck 6¾ feet, an armament of 84-96 guns and a crew numbering 475-634 men. Part of the fleet commanded by lieutenant admiral Van Almonde, captain De Boer in 1696. Part of the Dutch-British fleet, commanded by lieutenant admiral Callenburgh in 1702. In February 1686 part squadron C. Evertsen the Youngest off Vlissingen, Netherlands. In March 1696 part of the transport fleet rear admiral A den Boer with troops to England.
