Portugal interested in building warships at foreign shipyards according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1904-1905 no. 10

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 14 December 1904 reporting that the Portuguese cabinet wanted to built several warships abroad. Technical commissions were sent towards Germany and the USA to negotiate about the costs of new building. Strangely were none commissions sent towards England and France, the reason for this was not known.
