US Navy testing Bliss turbine torpedoes on short notice according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1904-1905 no. 7

An item reported that the turbine torpedoes invented by the Bliss Company, Brooklyn, USA were to be tested on short notice. The torpedoes used a very high air pressure and should have a range of 3.000 metres with a speed of 24 miles.
