Spanish navy building armoured cruisers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1891-1892 no.3

An item reported that the Spanish navy ordered at the French firm Schneider&Co., Crousot, France the delivery of around 3.000 ton armour plates needed for the belts, turrets and so on of the 3-6.000 ton cruisers being built at Cartagena, Cadiz and Ferrol.(1)

1. The Infanta Maria Teresa-class of armoured cruisers consisting of the Infanta Maria Teresa, Vizcaya and the Almirante Oquendo, all built at the navy yard at Bilbao, Spain with a displacement of 6.890 tons.
