Dutch monitors Zr. Ms. Krokodil decommissioned and the Luipaard to be laid up according to the Dutch newspaper De Standaard dated Tuesday 23 October 1866

An item reported that the Dutch monitor Zr. Ms. Krokodil (1) lieutenant 1st class E.B. Bonn on Sunday morning was decommissioned in the usual manner at the navy yard at Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands. On the same Saturday was there the Dutch monitor Zr. Ms. Luipaard (1) arrived for making a trial on the Haringvliet and afterwards to be laid up in reserve at the navy yard.

1. Laid down at Laird Brothers, Birkenhead, United Kingdom on 3 July 1867, launched on 7 January 1868, trials on 30 May 1868, stricken on 16 March 1900 and sold in 1906. Monitor 2nd class.
2. Ram monitor 2nd class. On stocks at the Nederlandse Stoomboot Maatschappij, Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1875, launched on 14 September 1876, commissioned on 20 October 1877 and sold to be broken up in 1907.
