Dutch shipyard Kon. Mij. De Schelde, Vlissingen repairing ship and engineering of the Dutch armoured steam river vessel Hr.Ms. Isala in 1890-1891


An order dated 8 December 1890/20 May 1891 for repairing the ship, the port board steam boiler and changing and partly renewing of the steam steering gear in the Hr. Ms. Isala for account of the Dutch Department of Navy accepted for ƒ 4.000 and ƒ 5.395, totally ƒ 9.395. Totally costs ƒ 5.003,50 resulting in a profit of ƒ 4.391,50. Costs repairing ships ƒ 1.111.60 (stores ƒ 314,31, wages ƒ 546,09, 46% expenses ƒ 251,20). Costs repairing engines ƒ 3.891,90 (stores ƒ 2.258,69, wages ƒ 1.001.97, 63% expenses ƒ 631,24). (1)

1. On stocks at the Maatschappij ‘De Atlas’, Amsterdam, Netherlands on 8 May 1876, launched on 4 October 1876, , commissioned on 8 September 1878 and sold to be broken up in 1907.
