Scottish shipyard ordered to built gunboat Restauracion for Santo Domingo according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens 1895 nr. 12

An item reported that the form Messrs. Napier, Shanks and Bell, Glasgow, Scotland received an order from the Santo Domingo government to built a cruiser with a cruise speed of 14 knots and an armament of 9 quick firing guns.(1)
