Turkish central battery ironclad Mahmud [Mahmûdiye] according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens 1875 no. 11

Armament consisted of 14-7” Armstrong guns in the battery and 1-7” Armstrong gun fore and one aft. Horsepower 900 nhp. Dimensions 295 x 56 x 37 (hold) x 25 (fore)-26 (aft) feet and a tonnage of 4.221 tons. Speed 12 knots. Armour thickness 4.75-5.5” with 9” teak. Built by Thames Iron Works, Blackwall, England in 1864. Crew numbered 299 men (included 23 officers), should be 640 men.
