British destroyers testing smoke formation by use of different fuels according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 3

An item referred to the German magazine Schiffbau reporting that a number of British destroyers executed comparable tests dealing with the smoke formation  by using different kinds of fuel. One group of boilers was coal filled and an other group with a mix of coal and oil.
