Dutch 1st charter Vrijheid 1695-1723

Of the admiralty Amsterdam, 3-decker, built by Hendrik Cardinaal at naval yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1695, broken up and wreck sold on 10 December 1723, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 176 (prow) x 46 x 17, draught 12¼-16, an armament of 94-96 (28-24pd, 28-18pd, 30-12pd, 10-6pd) guns and an armament of 550 men. In march 1690 heavily damaged by storm. Departed on 7 April 1696 Texel, Netherlands, flagship lieutenant admiral Ph. van Almonde, joined at Downs,  the Dutch-British fleet commanded by admiral G. Rooke. In 1702 part of Dutch British fleet, flagship lieutenant admiral Ph. van Almonde. In 1703 part of squadron commanded by Ph. van Almonde sent to Portugal and Spain, flagship. In 1705-1706 part of Mediterranean fleet commanded by Ph. van Almonde, flagship, later Van Wassenaer.
