Italian cruiser Piemonte executed trials according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1889 nos. 7-8

An item reported that the Italian cruiser Piemonte (1) on 17 May executed her official trials. During the 6 hours trials she achieved a speed of 20,4 knots, and during the forced draft 22,3 knots with 185 rpm. During the trials was her draught maximal, ballast replaced missing parts.

1. Protected cruiser, preceded y the Etna-class and succeeded by the Regioni-claas, Laid down at Armstrong Whitworth in 1887, launched on 23 August 1888, completed on 8 August 1889, acquired on 30 July 1888, stricken on 15 May 1920 and broken up in the same year.
