Several British destroyers lost at Jutland according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 5 June 1916

An item dated London, England 8th reported that on British side (1) the destroyers Tipperary (2), Turbulent (3), Fortune (4), Sparrow (5) Hawk (6) and Ardent (7) were lost. The fate of six others was yet unknown.

British losses 6.094 men killed, 674 men wounded, 3 battle cruisers, 3 armoured cruisers, 8 destroyers total tonnage lost 113.300 tons and German losses 2.551 men killed, 507 wounded, 1 battle cruiser, 1 pre-dreadnought, 4 light cruisers, total tonnage 62.300 tons.
2. Originally built as the Chilean Almirante Riveros, purchased on in August 1914, launched at White on 5 March 1915.sunk during the battle of Jutland against German naval forces on 31 May 1916.
3. Originally built as the Turkish Ogre, renamed on 15 February 1915, launched by Hawthorn Leslie on 5 January 1916 and sunk during the battle of Jutland against German naval forces on 31 May 1916
4. Launched by Fairfield on 17 May 1913 and sunk during the battle of Jutland against German naval forces on 31 May 1916.
5. The Sparrowhawk, launched at Swan Hunter on 12 October 1912 sunk during the battle of Jutland against German naval forces on 31 May 1916 when she collided with the HMS Broke and Contest.
