Brazilian battleship Riachuelo repaired in France according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1895-1896 No. 6


An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the repairs of the Brazilian battleship Riachuelo at the Compagnie des Forges et Chantiers de la la Mediterranée, Marseille, France was nearly completed. Major repair was replacing the bolts which fixed the doubled wood hull, steel hull and the copper. Most of the bolts were corroded. (1)
