Own crew blew the Turkish gunboat Durak-reis up to prevent capture by British according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 3 November 1914

An item Constantinople, Turky 2nd reported that a day earlier a British-French fleet entered the Gulf of Tschesine, Little Asia when the small Turkish gunboat Durak-reis attacked the steamship Kinabiage. The latter ship was sunk and the Turkish commander blew his ship up to prevent being captured.
